Insert 3 “M” alkaline batteries in the battery compartment with the (-) terminals of the batteries toward the (-) spring contacts in the battery• Note: Be sure that (+) and (-) terminals on each battery match the (+) and (-) contacts shown on the compartment and the line drawing.• Caution: Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix alkaline and standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
