Safety instructions
Please read these instructions thoroughly before you use the device and keep them for future reference.
- Only for indoor use.
- Do not use the product in a damp environment or near water.
- Do not expose the product to extremely high or low temperatures, strong light sources or direct sunlight.
- This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Dispose of batteries as chemical waste. Never use old and new batteries or different types of batteries together. Remove the batteries when you are not using the system for a longer period of time. Check the polarity (+/-) of the batteries when inserting them in the product. Wrong positioning can cause an explosion.
- Connect the adapter to the mains only after you have verified that the line voltage corresponds to the value specified on the type plates.
- Never connect a power adapter if it’s damaged. In such cases, please contact your supplier.
- Disconnect the AC/DC power adapter from the mains when this device is not in use for prolonged time.
- Never open the product: the device may contain parts with deadly voltage.
- Repairs or service should only be performed by qualified personnel.
- Improper use, self-installed modifications or repairs will void any and all warranties.
- Marmitek does not accept any product responsibility for incorrect use of the product or use other than for which the product is intended.
- Marmitek does not accept liability for any consequential damage other than the legal product responsibility.
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Connect 350 UHD2.0™! It allows you to use 1 cable to connect 5 HDMI sources to your TV, without any loss of signal or encryption. It’s ideal when your TV doesn’t have enough HDMI inputs, or if you want to connect the devices to your TV using just one cable. Examples of HDMI sources are game consoles such as a PlayStation or Xbox, Blu-ray players, digital TV decoders and all other HDMI devices. The Connect 350 UHD 2.0™ supports Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p), HDCP 2.2 and all 3D formats, making it suitable for all your existing and future equipment.Marmitek products are manufactured with the utmost care and are exceptionally high quality. Please read this manual carefully and follow the instructions in order to get the best from this product.

HDMI properties
- The maximum throughput speed is 18 Gbit/s (gigabits per second). This allows HDMI 2.0 to display Ultra HD 4K images at 60 fps (frames per second).
- Suitable for the latest Ultra HD 4K60 resolution (3840 x 2160 / 60Hz), High Dynamic Range (HDR), Deep Color and 4:4:4 chroma colours.
- Supports all 3D formats (suitable for use with your own 3D equipment)
- Deep Color 36-bit (billions instead of millions of colours, better reproduction of subtle differences in gradation and a higher contrast ratio).
- Supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and all other common audio formats.
Installation
Before installation:
- Turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to the Connect 350 UHD 2.0™. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove the plug from the socket.
- Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and sound quality. Using too much force to connect or disconnect the HDMI cables may damage them.
- Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI sources (such as game consoles, Blu-ray players and Digital TV Decoders) to the HDMI ports marked “HDMI input”.
- Use an HDMI cable to connect the TV to the HDMI port marked “HDMI output”.
- If required, connect the IR receiver to the “IR” input in order to continue to operate it when it is positioned out of sight, for example, in a closed cabinet. Remember to position the IR receiver itself within the remote control’s line of sight.
- Use the USB power cable to connect the power adapter to the “DC 5V” connector and insert the plug into the wall socket.
- Pull the plastic strip from the remote control’s battery compartment to activate the battery and remove the protective film from the top.
Use
Switching between connected HDMI devicesThe Connect 350 UHD 2.0™ allows you to choose which HDMI source is displayed on the TV. If you turn on one of the HDMI sources, it will automatically switch to the correct input. If multiple HDMI sources are turned on, the Connect 350 UHD 2.0™ will automatically switch to the HDMI source that was activated last. If you want to select another HDMI source, please use the remote control or the “Select” button on the front.Note: Automatic switching must be supported by the HDMI source. If it is not supported, you should manually select the appropriate HDMI source.
Frequently asked questions
No (or poor) image and soundIf you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI switcher, please try to identify the problem by connecting the devices to your screen (TV, monitor or projector) one by one. This allows you to determine whether the problem is with the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI switcher or the screen.
- For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables.
- Do not use cables longer than 15 meters, but preferably shorter cables. These reduce the risk of problems.
- Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.
- Both the HDMI source and your screen should fully support HDMI.
- Check that your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP 2.2 (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) copy protection.
