about the power supply

  • Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
  • Never operate the device with any power supply other than the original one.
  • Do not operate in the vicinity of high-frequency electromagnetic transmitters.
  • Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  • Keep the power cable and the unit away from heat, hot surfaces, moisture and liquids.
  • Never touch the power plug or On/Off button with wet or damp hands or while standing in water.
  • Unit components carrying voltage may not come into contact with liquid.
  • Do not reach for the unit if it falls into water. Unplug the power cable immediately.
  • Connect the unit so that the power plug is freely accessible.
  • Always unplug the power plug from the power outlet immediately after use.
  • Disconnect the unit from the mains by pulling on the plug. Never pull on the cable!
  • Do not carry, pull or turn the unit by the power cable.

before using the unit

  • Remove all sharp objects from the body and pockets such as keys and pens.
  • Check the cable and the unit carefully before every use for damage. Do not put a defective unit into operation.
  • Do not use the unit if damage to the unit or the cable is visible, if it does not function properly, if the cable or the unit have become wet.
  • If the mains cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by medisana, an authorized dealer or suitably qualified service personnel.
  • Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

Danger of tipping – Do not load the armrests or the back rest one-sided. Never let children be near the device without close supervision!Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use it and contact your supplier or your service centre.

2.2 Setting up the device

  • Place the unit so that other objects or walls are at a sufficient distance from the unit (see illustration).
  • Place the unit on a mat to prevent damage to the floor.
  • The size of the mat must be sufficient (more than 220 cm) to cover the areas where the unit touches and where the leg support may touch the floor, as shown in the figure above.
  • Install the unit near a wall outlet.

3 Operating

3.1 Preparation
  • Make sure that there are no persons, pets or other objects in the vicinity of the product.
  • Before sitting on the product, make sure that there are no foreign objects between two parts of the product.
  • Never put your hands, arms or head between the backrest and the back cover.
  • Do not place pets on the product (e.g. on the backrest or armrests).

3.2 Power on the device

  • Plug the mains cable completely into the mains connection on the device.
  • Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.
  • Set the on/off switch to the „l“ position.

If the electrical connection is interrupted during the massage, massage heads will return immediately to the parking position after being reconnected to the power supply.If the massage heads are not extended: Press the On/Off button on the remote control to return the massage heads to their original position.

3.3 Functions and remote control

After the unit is powered and the On/Off switch is set to position „I“, the unit is in sleep mode.Only a few basic functions are available in this mode.The h buttons change the angle of the back section and the leg section of the device. Button 9 switches the unit on completely.

Overview of all remote control buttons

9 On/Off button: The button and the LC display light up. Now select one of the massage function buttons to start the massage. Press button 9 again to end all massage functions. The moving parts ofthe massage chair will then return to their original position.

Pause: Press this button to pause during a previously selected massage mode. The button flashes and the time control for the massage programs is also paused. Press the button again to continue the massage. q Heating function

  2. button press = switch off the heating function w Switch foot massage roller on and off e Automatic programs: Select one of the 6 available automatic programs.The device first performs a scan to determine the shoulder height. If you are not satisfied with the determined position, you can readjust it within 10 seconds using the Up g/Down f buttons. The selected program will then start. Relax Fitness Health = a massage like in a spa Vigorous = powerful massage Neck & Shoulder Waist & Buttockh Back and leg section adjustment: the h buttons change the angle of the back section and leg section of the device. Press and hold the respective button once to start the movement, release the button to stop themovement. The key „ZGR“ selects the „Zero-G-Mode“. The massage chair moves you into a horizontal position that feels like weightlessness. r spot massage/partial back massage:Spot massage at the current point on the back. Press the button again to switch to partial back massage –The massage heads move up and down 8 cm at the selected point.

Overview of all buttons on the remote control (advanced functions):

t LED lighting functionEach time this button is pressed, the colours of the LED lighting are changed in the order Red>Blue>Green>Three colours in automatic cycle>Switch off.Note: When the massage chair is switched on, the three colours of the automatic cycle are run through. The automatic programs have preset LED colours. Press the button to change the LED colour.

Button for manual selection of the massage method: Switch through in the following order: Kneading, Swedish, Tapping, Shiatsu, Calpping, Roll massage, end function.Note: Kneading, Swedish, tapping, shiatsu and tapping massage each have two selectable massage sequences.

(only with kneading massage activated): Change the intensity of the massage in 5 steps.  (only with tapping, clapping, swedish or shiatsu massage activated):Change the speed of the back massage in 5 steps For tapping, clapping, shiatsu, roll massage: Change the distance between the massage heads in 3 steps. Vibration: Switch the vibration of the seat on and off.Also works with the automatic programs. Air pressure massage of the whole body (automatic mode): on/off Manual selection of air pressure massage areas: Leg support -> Arm support -> Shoulders -> OffAdjust the intensity of the air pressure massage in 5 steps (works in automatic and manual mode)

3.4 Bluetooth Function

The speaker of the massage chair only works when the device is switched on. Connect your Smartphone, Tablet or PC to the massage chair via Bluetooth.

3.5 Switching off the device

Press the Power button 9 on the remote control. All functions are terminated – but the massage heads are still moving to their parking position. Wait a few seconds.Then set the on/off switch (position 8) to position „O“ and disconnect the device from the power socket.

3.6 Troubleshooting

If the problem encountered is not listed, please try the following suggestions:

  1. Turn off the product and unplug it.
  2. Wait for 60 minutes.
  3. Plug the product back to the recommended outlet and restart.
  4. If the problem persists, contact the authorized service center.The service centre address is shown on the attached leaflet.

4.1 Cleaning and maintenance

  • Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket. Allow the unit to cool down. Only clean the Shiatsu massage seat cover with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent (e.g. soap suds).
  • Under no circumstances should you use aggressive detergents, strong brushes, solvents, petrol, thinners or alcohol. These could damage the surface.
  • When cleaning, never immerse the unit in water and make sure that no water gets into the unit.
  • Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.
  • Do not dry the surface by a hair drier.

4.2 Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Warranty and repair terms

  1. Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. Please prepare a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.The following warranty terms apply:The warranty period for medisana products is 3 years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
  2. Defects in material or workmanship will be corrected free of charge within the warranty period.
  3.  Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
  4. The following is excluded under the warranty:a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer.d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
