about the power supply
- Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your main supply.
- Never operate the device with any power supply other than the original one.
- Do not operate in the vicinity of high-frequency electromagnetic transmitters.
- Keep the power cable and the unit away from heat, hot surfaces, moisture, and liquids.
- Never touch the power plug or On/Off button with wet or damp hands or while standing in water.
- Unit components carrying voltage may not come into contact with liquid.
- Do not reach for the unit if it falls into the water. Unplug the power cable immediately.
- Connect the unit so that the power plug is freely accessible.
- Always unplug the power plug from the power outlet immediately after use.
- Disconnect the unit from the mains by pulling on the plug. Never pull on the cable!
- Do not carry, pull or turn the unit by the power cable. before using the unit
- Check the cable and the unit carefully before every use for damage. Do not put a defective unit into operation.
- Do not use the unit if damage to the unit or the cable is visible if it does not function properly if the cable or the unit have become wet.

- Use the unit only for its intended purpose as according to the instruction manual. In case of misuse, the warranty is no longer valid.
- Do not leave the unit unattended while it is connected to the mains.
- Avoid letting the unit come into contact with pointed or sharp objects.
- Never place the unit directly next to electric ovens or other heat sources.
- Do not stand on the unit.
- Only use this device in areas with sufficient space and where good ventilation is guaranteed.
- Do not use the massage function for longer than 15 minutes. A too-long massage can lead to overstimulation of muscles and to nerve irritations.
- Verify that seat supports and screw connections are in their correct place before each use.

- Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, immediately pull out the plug from the power source:– if a malfunction occurs during operation– after each use– before each cleaning or maintenance.

- The chair is maintenance-free.
- In case of malfunction do not repair the unit yourself. This does not only annul the warranty but can also cause serious danger (fire, electric shock, injury). Only let authorized service points carry out repairs.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

2.1 Items supplied and packaging
Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use it and contact your supplier or your service centre.

Operating
The Massage Chair features automatic programs for three back areas with adjustable intensity.Do not use the unit for more than 15 minutes at a time. After approx. 15 minutes, the unit will switch off automatically. Always allow the unit to cool down fully before you use it again.
- Connect the power supply cable to the massage chair 4 and insert theplug into the mains socket. Ensure that the power supply is easily accessible. Switch the unit on with the ON/OFF switch 4.
- Take a seat on the shiatsu massage seating area 5 and familiarise yourself with the functions.
- Press the On/Off button 8 and choose one of the massage functions (buttons 0qw).
Switching off the devicePress the On/Off button 8. The massage heads travel back down to the park position.
3.1 FunctionsMassage 0qw (automatic programs featuring 6 massage types:Kneading-, knocking-, Shiatsu, rolling-, clapping and Swedish massage)Lower button (lower back) 10The Shiatsu massage heads travel up and down the lower half of the back in a circular motion. The reversal of the direction takes place when the respective end positions are reached.Upper button (upper back)11The Shiatsu massage heads travel up and down the upper half of the back in a circular motion. The reversal of the direction takes place when the respective end positions are reached.Full button (full back)12The Shiatsu massage heads move from the “Park” position to the lower back, massaging the back in a circular motion whilst doing so. Once the undermost position has been reached, the direction of the massaging heads is reversed and the heads then travel up to the top of the backrest. Once the heads reach this point, the direction of rotation is reversed again and then travel down the back again.Press the button again to deactivate the Shiatsu massage function.
Intensity adjustment for massage 13Use this button to select the intensity of the massage. Each time you press the button, the intensity is increased (levels 1 to 3). After the highest level, the setting jumps back to the lowest level.The selected level is shown on the display 14 (1 to 3 lights).
Swinging the armchairThe armchair is left and right each rotatable by 45 degrees.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket. Allow the unit to cool down.Only clean the Shiatsu massage seat cover with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent (e.g. soap suds).
- Under no circumstances should you use aggressive detergents, strong brushes, solvents, petrol, thinners or alcohol. These could damage the surface.
- When cleaning, never immerse the unit in water and make sure that no water gets into the unit.
- Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.
- Undo any kinks in the cable.

Warranty and repair terms
Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.The following warranty terms apply:
- The warranty period for MEDISANA products is 3 years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
- Defects in material or workmanship will be corrected free of charge within the warranty period.
- Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
- The following is excluded under the warranty:a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
- Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
