Filling the Steamer with Water

  1. Place the steamer on a flat, level surface.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with a measuring cup.
  3. Never fill the water above the MAX mark.
  4. Replace the water reservoir cap.

1. Read all instructions.2. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from steam vents, check the appliance before each use by holding it away from the body and operating the switch button.3. Use appliance only for its intended use.4. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.5. Never yank the cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull it out gently.6. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Let the appliance cool completely before putting it away. Loop cord loosely around the appliance when storing.7. Always disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet when filling with water, emptying, or whenever it is not being used.8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord, or when the appliance has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance, take it to a qualified service person for evaluation and repair. Incorrect reassembly or repair could cause the risks of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons while using the appliance.9. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected.10. Burns could occur if touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Be careful when you turn a steam appliance upside down ­ there may be hot water in the reservoir.11. To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.12. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10ampere rated cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot be pulled or tripped over.13. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plugin anyway.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNINGS:

  1. Never fill the water reservoir when the power cord is plugged in.
  2. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 5 minutes after it has been used.
  3. Never add cold water into the hot water tank. Steam may spray out of the filling hole and cause injuries. Always let the appliance cool before adding water.

Steaming Fabrics and Linens

Note: The water reservoir must be filled and make sure the cap attached tightly before proceeding with the following steps.

  1. Plug the steamer power cord into an electrical outlet. The heat indicator light will illuminate when turned on.
  2. The steamer will start to spray after approximately 50 seconds.
  3. Direct the steam nozzle towards the material you wish to iron.
  4. Keep the flow of steam focused on the material. Using a slight back and forth motion will further enhance the steaming process.

Caution: Never point the steam nozzle towards your body, other people, pets, or plants.

Steaming Garments

  1. Place the garment on a clean hanger.
  2. Begin steaming slowly from the bottom to the top of the garment. The steam will rise along the inside and outside of the fabric, removing the wrinkles.
  3. Periodically point the steamer away from the garment and smooth the fabric with your free hand.
  4. Repeat the above steps as necessary until the garment is free of wrinkles.

Steaming Tips

  1. Steaming both sides of the fabric will help to remove stubborn wrinkles.
  2. Delicate fabrics need to be steamed carefully to avoid damage caused by water spots.
  3. Drapery and curtains can be steamed while still hanging.
  4. Caution should be taken while using a ladder or step ladder. Do not use a stool, chair, or revolving chair.
  5. To steam towels, handkerchiefs, and napkins, hang them over a rod or towel holder.

Handling and Storing

  1. 1. Use distilled water to avoid mineral build-up.
  2. 2. Remove all accessories from the steamer.
  3. 3. Empty any remaining water into a sink to minimize mineral build-up.
  4. 4. Reattach the water reservoir cap. Do not overtighten.
  5. 5. It is recommended to store the steamer and any supplied accessories together in the original packaging. 6. Store the steamer in a cool, dry place.
