SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

User InstructionsRead all of the following safety instructions carefully prior to the use of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum:

  • Operate the robot vacuum in accordance with the steps indicated in this user manual.
  • Keep the user manual properly stored for future reference.
  • If you need to have any third party use the robot vacuum, please hand the user manual over together with quick start guide to the new owner.
  • Serious personal injury or damage to the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum itself may occur if the owner does not follow the robot vacuum usage guideline mentioned in this user manual.

About Safety of the robot vacuum

  • myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum must be used with the original adaptor, battery and charging station provided with the robot vacuum. If not, the robot vacuum may cause damage, electric shock or fire hazard as a result.
  • If you find the main body and parts of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum damaged, please stop using it immediately and contact our customer service as soon as possible.
  • Only myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum designated or authorized servicemen or service center is allowed to dismantle, repair or replace the robot vacuum.
  • Don’t touch the power plug of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum when hands are wet as this may cause electrical shock.
  • To avoid personal injury due to the accidental drop (such as from stair case) of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum, please don’t use the robot vacuum in the area close to staircase steps, unsecured balcony, etc. ensure that boundary out the area if needed.
  • Don’t pull or move the robot vacuum with the power cable and don’t bend or place heavy object on top of the power cable.
  • Keep robot vacuum away from fire, inflammable matter, explosive and corrosive chemical.
  • Don’t place your clothes, any parts of your body such as hair, finger, nail, etc close to the rotating brushes or wheel when the robot vacuum is in operation as it may cause personal injury.
  • myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum should only be used indoor.
  • Keep the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum away from water, oil or other liquid as it may cause damage to the electronic inside the robot vacuum.
  • No loose wires should be scattered on the floor as it may cause damage to the robot vacuum when the robot vacuum rolls over those wire.
  • Please remove fragile items such as glass cups, bottles, etc. from table top.
  • The charging station should be set up against the wall so that the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum can be properly docked upon initial and final cycle.
  • Turn off the ON/OFF power switch in robot vacuum to avoid battery damage if the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum is not used for a long period of time.
  • If the robot vacuum is not used for a longer period of time, fully charge the battery and store the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum in the cool and dry place. Keep the bottom of the robot vacuum dry and clean all the time.
  • If the robot vacuum is used for the first time or after idle for a long period of time, charge the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum for about 6 hours before starting the cleaning cycle.
  • After the robot vacuum is fully charged for the first 3 to 4 times, the robot vacuum can be charged properly at the charging station should the robot vacuum ran out of power.
  • Do not move or relocate the charging station or robot vacuum when the robot vacuum is in operation as the robot vacuum may not be able to dock automatically.
  • myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum consists of laser sensor. Don’t look into the front part of the robot vacuum directly as looking into it may case eye injury.

About Children‘s Safety

  • Do not allow children to operate the robot vacuum or stay close to the robot vacuum when it is in operation.
  • Under all circumstances, children should not play with the package plastic bags or any packing-related material as it may cause suffocation.
  • Screwdriver or related tools shipped is not a toy and should not be used by children.

About Battery

  • myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum can only work with the battery provided by original manufacturer and only genuine myVacBot battery should be used at all the time.
  • Unplug the power adaptor from the wall electrical outlet should the robot vacuum stay idle for a long period of time.
  • Only myVacBot power adaptor provided should be used to charge the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum.
  • Turn the power switch to OFF before removing the battery from the robot vacuum. In some case, only a designated person authorized by myVacBot can remove the battery from the robot vacuum.
  • Remove the battery when the robot vacuum is disposed at the end of the robot vacuum life cycle.
  • Battery can only dispose into area under the local municipality recommendation and guidance.
  • Should battery require replacement, contact myVacBot customer service hotline for further advice and support.
  • Usage of the incorrect or non-genuine battery for myVacBot is prohibited and may cause accidents.
  • In case of battery leakage, don’t touch the battery with bare hands as the chemical leaked may cause damage to skin or clothes.
  • When such incident occurs, send the battery to the local municipality designated recycling area or send it to the myVacBot designated repair center.
  • Don’t dispose battery in normal garbage bin.
  • Properly handle the used battery of the robot vacuum (including the remote control) because it may contain environmentally hazardous substances.
  • Please follow the local environment rules and dispose the battery into the local municipality designated recycle bin or area.

About where the robot vacuum should NOT be used

  • myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum should not be used in extremely hot or cold environment.
  • Robot vacuum can only be used indoor.
  • To avoid personal injury due to the accidental drop (such as from stair case) of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum, please don’t use the robot vacuum in the area close to staircase steps, unsecured balcony, etc. ensure that fence out those areas if needed.
  • Don’t use the robot vacuum in the places which is wet, consists of flammable, explosive or corrosive chemical.
  • Don’t allow the robot vacuum to collect or pick up burning cigarette butt or matches or any matter that is in flame.
  • Don’t direct the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum to collect or pick up toner used inside the laser printer or photo copier as toner consists of substances that may cause fire hazard.
  • Don’t direct the robot vacuum to collect sharp matter such as broken glass, iron nail, screws as such matter may cause damage to the robot vacuum.

Violation of Warranty (1 year Limited)The myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum can’t be repaired or warranted when the owner conducted or encountered the following:

  • When the owner fails to store the robot vacuum in places not according to the user manual;
  • The robot vacuum and components warranty period expired;
  • Damage occurred when owner disassembled the robot vacuum without sending it out to an authorized service center for repairing;
  • Not able to provide a valid proof of purchase at the time when service or repairing is required.
  • When the model number in the warranty card does not match with the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum number shown on the robot vacuum.
  • When damage occured due to force majeure including natural disaster;
  • When the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum fail or damage is due to unexpected factors or man-made reasons (including mis-operate, fluid found in the inlet, improper insertion or pulling, hauling, bump, improper voltage input and others).

Important: Do not disassemble the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum. Disassembling the robot vacuum will void the warranty. Only myVacBot or a party expressly authorized by myVacBot should perform service on this robot vacuum.

Screw driver shipped is not a toy and should NOT be used by children.Cautions:The battery, side brush and filter were preinstalled to the robot vacuum prior to shipment.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

CHARGING STATION

  1. Insert the upper half of the part vertically into the charging station as shown.
  2. Connect the charging station with the DC power cord from the adaptor as shown
  3. Place the charging station against the wall and connect the power adaptor to a wall outlet in which a 3.4 feet (1 meter) long in front by 1.7 feet (0.5 meter) to the left and 1.7 feet (0.5 meter) to the right obstacle free area as shown is required.

Cautions:

  • Don’t place the charging station on a carpet.
  • Don’t move or relocate the charging station while the robot vacuum is in the cleaning process, else the robot vacuum will not be able to find the charging station automatically for charging.

Observe the following instructions to enhance the life span of the battery:

  1. Turn off the power switch when the robot vacuum is not used for an extended period of time to prevent the battery from any unexpected damage.
  2. Should the robot vacuum not be used for a long period of time, fully charge the battery, then take out the battery and store it in a cool and dry place separately. Keep the bottom of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum dry and clean as well while the battery is in storage.
  3. When the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum is used again after being put in storage for a long period of time, charge the battery for about 6 hours. Try to fully use up the battery power and continue this cycle for about 3 to 4 times to enable that the battery operates at its optimal point.
  4. Only use the genuine battery for the robot vacuum. If not, the battery may cause damage to the robot vacuum or unwanted accidents.
  5. When connecting the genuine power adaptor to the charging station, ensure that the wire between the adaptor and the charging station is properly stow to prevent the wire end up winding into moving part of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum. Thus, damage to the robot vacuum is anticipated.
  6. Don’t move or relocate the charging station while the robot vacuum is in the cleaning process, else the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum will not be able to find the charging station automatically for charging.
  7. High Voltage at the wall plug! Please operate the robot vacuum and plug in the power adaptor with dry hands.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION

Remove the protective film in the front before the first usage of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum.

PRODUCT CLEANING MODE

  1. Ensure that the battery is charged fully.Turn the power switch and wait for about 20 seconds. The battery indicator should light up while charging. At this time the robot vacuum is in standby mode and ready to use.
  2. When the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum is in standby mode, touch the “ ” ON button to start the auto cleaning cycle. Touch the “ ” OFF button to stop the cleaning cycle.
  3. When the robot vacuum is on standby mode, touch the “ ” SPOT button and the robot vacuum will start cleaning within 1 meter in diameter area. Touch the “ ” OFF button to stop the cleaning cycle.
  4. When the robot vacuum is on standby mode, touch the “ ” HOME button and the robot vacuum will return to the charging station and recharge. Should the robot vacuum need to resume to the cleaning cycle again, touch the “ ” OFF button again to stop the robot vacuum from going back to the charging station and resume to cleaning mode.

Cautions: Should the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum be low on battery, the cleaning cycle will be stopped and the robot vacuum will automatically search for the charging station for charging.

Operational Guideline for Touch button seen on top of the robot vacuum

ON / OFF• In the standby mode, touch the “ ” ON button so that the robot vacuum will start to clean.• Touch the “ ”OFF button, the cleaning cycle will stop.• In the clock setup mode, touch the “ ” OFF button, the setting will be deleted.
SPOT Cleaning• In the standby mode, touch the “ ”  SPOT button and the robot vacuum will start spot cleaning mode.• In the clock setup mode, touch the “ ” SPOT button to adjust the hour setting.
HOME• In standby mode, touch the “ ” HOME button as return button.• In operation mode, upon touching the “ ” HOME button, the robot vacuum will search the charging station, thus, return to the charging station for charging.• Touch the “ ” HOME button immediately after, it will stop searching the charging station.• In scheduling mode, touch the “ ” HOME button to adjust the minute setting.
SCHEDULE Setup• Touch the “ ” SCHEDULE button and the robot vacuum will enter the scheduling mode.• Touch the “ ”SPOT button to adjust the hour setting. Each touch counts as one hour and will increase to 24 hours and will loop back to 00 hours as the hours continue to increase.• Touch the“ ”HOME button to adjust the minute setting. Each touch counts as one minute and will increase to 60 minute and will loop back to 00 minutes as the minute continue to increase.• Touch the “ ” CLOCK button to save the schedule setting.• Touch the “ ”OFF button to exit or complete the current time setting.
CLOCK Setup• Touch the “ ” CLOCK cleaning button, so that the robot vacuum will enter into current time setting mode.• Touch the “ ” SPOT button to adjust the hour setting. Each touch counts as one hour and will increase to 24 hours and will loop back to 00 hours as the hours continue to increase.• Touch the“ ”HOME button to adjust the minute setting. Each touch counts as one minute and will increase to 60 minute and will loop back to 00 minutes as the minute continue to increase.• Touch the “ ”CLOCK button to save the time setting.• Touch the “ ”OFF button to exit or complete the current time setting.

CHARGING MODE

Normal Charging

  1. Connect the power adaptor provided and plug into the power jack in the charging station of robot vacuum first.
  2. Plug the power adaptor provided into the wall electrical outlet.
  3. Switch on the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum and wait for 20 seconds until it enters the standby mode.
  4. Place the robot vacuum in front of the charging station and aim it at the central position of the charging station.
  5. Manually push the robot vacuum to the charging station slowly until the charging pole shoe is well connected with the terminal of charging station.
  6. Charging will start after the robot vacuum clicks.

Cautions: High Voltage at the wall power outlet! Hands must be dry when plugging into the wall outlet.

Automatic Charging

  1. App charging:Connect the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum with the Smartphone or Tablet and then touch the “ ”HOME button as seen in the App. The robot vacuum will automatically search the location of the charging station and return for charging once located.
  2. Auto Charging:The robot vacuum will stop cleaning when the battery power is low and it will search the location of the charging station and return for charging once located.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

  1. Shut off the power when the robot vacuum is not used for a long period of time.
  2. Should the robot vacuum not be used for a long period of time, fully charge the battery, then take out the battery and store it in a cool and dry place separately. Keep the bottom of the robot vacuum dry and clean as well while the battery is in storage.

Robot Vacuum General Maintenance

  1. Shut off the power or unplug the wall power plug with dry hands before cleaning the main body and harging station.
  2. Gently clean the surface of the main body with a damped cloth along with non aggressive cleaning agent.
  3. Don’t rinse the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum with running water or submerge it into water.
  4. Don’t clean the robot vacuum surface with oil or any oil base cleaning agent.

Dust Bin Cleaning

As shown in the above picture, press the button on the dust bin and slowly draw out the dust bin from the robot vacuum as the first step.

Gently lift up the buckles on both side of the dust bin as shown above. Open the upper and lower baffle and remove the dust and dirt.

You may wipe the inside of the dust bin with the brush provided or a dry cloth.

Filter Cleaning

  1. Use the included screwdriver to remove the screws near the edge of the motor on the top and bottom. Next, pull the side of the motor to detach it and remove the exhaust filter.
  2. Press the clips in to take out the small filters then use the cleaning brush to gently clear away any debris.
  3. Turn the dust bin over then press and pull the bottom lid open, then take out the large filter and use the cleaning brush to gently clear away any debris. Separate the large filter mesh from the rest of the filter.
  4. The large filter and the exhaust filter can be cleaned with water if desired. ONLY the large filter mesh and the exhaust filter can be rinsed. After rinsing, allow 24 hours time for the filters to dry.
  5. After everything is completely clean and dry, reinstall the large filter and the exhaust filter. Use the included screwdriver to fasten the screws and reattach the side to the motor.
  6. Close and/or reinstall all remaining parts of the dust bin then return it to the laser sensor, making sure it is fully inserted.

Brush Cleaning

  1. As shown in the above picture, push the locking buckle and lift up the side bar as indicated.
  2. Hold and lift up the side bar and gently remove the main brush first. Then, remove the floor brush after.
  3. The main brush and floor brush can be removed completely as indicated.
  4. Remove the rubber sleeves separately from the main brush and the floor brush. (Warning: There is a metal bearing inside the rubber sleeve. Don’t let it drop out from the sleeve. If it did, simply insert it back into the rubber sleeve.)

Side Brush Cleaning

Wheel CleaningClean the front wheel and left & right wheels with the dust brush frequently.Note:The wheel spindle may be entangled by hair and cloth strips. If it does happen, remove them immediately.

Sensor Cleaning There are a total of 3 infra-red sensors installed in the bottom of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum and a laser sensor in front of the robot vacuum. These sensors are used to prevent the vacuum robot from fall from the staircase or used to navigate. However, dust may build up in those areas. Use a piece of a tidy cleaning cloth and wipe off the dust in the area as indicated in the diagram.

ERROR REPORT

Warning: Error code will appear on the display seen on top of the myVacBot SN500 robot vacuum should the cleaning cycling be interrupted unexpectedly.

E001 Ground detection failure. 1. The sensor is blocked.2. The robot vacuum is stuck. 1.   Clean the ground detection sensor with a clean cloth.2.   Relocate the robot vacuum from the area stuck manually. Clean the sensor frequently.
E002 Main or floor brush failure. 1. Either one of the brush is jammed.2. The brush may be tangled up with hair or fabric from carpet. Remove the brush according to the steps as seen in section 7 and remove the unwanted matters. Clean and maintain the brushes frequently.
E003 Battery low warning. 1. The robot vacuum can’t work normally.2. It can’t charge automatically. Conduct the manual charging by placing the robot vacuum on charging station. The robot vacuum can’t automatically return to the charging station because the  battery power reserve is too low.
E004 Wheels failure. 1. The wheel is jammed.2. The wheel may be tangled up with hair or fabric from carpet. Check the right wheel and remove the entanglements on the right wheel. Clean and maintain the wheels frequently.
E005 Dust bin faults: Motor faults due to poor contact. 1. The dust bin is not mounted properly.2. The dust bin is not contacting with the robot vacuum well. 1.    Remove the dust bin and install it back into the robot vacuum.2.    Check the installation of the dust bin. Ensure that the dust bin is properly installed after emptying the dirt and dust.
E006 The robot vacuum is off from ground. 1. The robot vacuum is lifted up.2. The front wheel is elevated excessively. Slowly put the robot vacuum back onto the ground. Clean the dust bin first before lifting the robot vacuum off from the ground.
E007 Side brush is jammed. The side brush may be tangled up with hair or fabric from carpet. Check the side brush and remove foreign matters. Replace the excessively worn side brush with a new one if needed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The robot vacuum always goes backwards during operation.
  1. Prevent the robot vacuum from working in the glare environment.
  2. Prevent the robot vacuum from being used on the dark-black carpet.
  3. Check if the ground detection sensors are covered with dirt including dust. If so, please clean them with a piece of dry cloth.

The robot vacuum won’t start up.
  1. Check the ON/OFF switch of robot vacuum and should be ON and the indicator for charging should be lilted up.
  2. Check if the robot vacuum is powered ON and start to charge it first.

The robot vacuum can’t charge automatically.
  1. Check if the charging station is powered up and well connected to the wall outlet.
  2. Check if there are obstacles between the robot vacuum and the charging station.
  3. Charge the battery manually if the power is low.

4

The robot vacuum can’t communicate with APR
  1. Check if the latest version of the APP is installed or not.
  2. Check if the robot vacuum and smartphone/tablet are connected properly or not wirelessly.

The robot vacuum will stop after working for a short period of time.
  1. Check if the robot vacuum started up with “SPOT Cleaning” mode.
  2. “SPOT Cleaning” mode works 3-5 minutes per cycle.

The robot vacuum can’t be charged.
  1. Check if the adaptor is an original provided and verify if the robot vacuum is connected with the power supply or not.
  2. If the robot vacuum is found broken or damaged, stop using the robot vacuum immediately and contact customer service for follow up.

Tip: If the corresponding failure indicated above can’t be solved by the remedies or solution suggested, contact customer service personnel immediately.
