45° Pie Platform Quick Installation Guide
Thank you for purchasing from National Ramp! This quick installation guide will cover how to install the 45° pie platform for Liberty and Breeze systems. It is a prerequisite to understand how to install dual rail handrails on the Liberty or Breeze system before proceeding with this guide. Please read through entire guide before installation.
Tools Required:
- Impact Driver
- Drill
- 3/8” socket
- 7/16” socket and/or wrench
- 9/16” socket
- 3/16” allen bit/wrench
- Level
- Pipe cutter/hacksaw/table saw (if cutting is required)
- Sanding/Filing tool (to remove burs and sharp edges after cutting)
Instructions (Liberty):
Liberty pies are offered for turning left or right 45°. They are not interchangeable.
- Install 3 legs at the three corners of the pie platform as pictured. The pie platform must be installed level to ground (no slope).
- Install the pie T-Post at the outside corner of the pie platform.Note: The pie T-post is specific to the pie platform and is not interchangeable with a square platform T-post.
- Join the outside corner ramp handrails using elbows and filler pipes.You will have to trim the handrails, pie T-Post and filler pipes. Make sure to remove any sharp edges after cutting.Tip: When measuring cuts for handrails/filler pipes, line up the elbow joints with the change in direction (i.e. sloped ramp to level platform and 45° turn on pie platform).
- Join the inside corner ramp handrails using the pie inside corner elbow assembly (see image to right).You will have to trim the handrails. Make sure to remove any sharp edges after cutting.Tip: When measuring cuts for handrails, line up the elbow joints with the change in direction (i.e. sloped ramp to level platform and 45° turn on pie platform).

Join the inside corner ramp handrails using the pie inside corner elbow assembly (see image to right).

Instructions (Breeze):
The only difference between Liberty and Breeze instructions is how the Breeze pies connect to the ramp sections.Breeze pies have grooves on both ends and can be used to turn right or left. Once orientation is determined, a Breeze platform connector bracket is required to convert a groove end to a tongue.Slide the Breeze platform connector bracket onto the groove side of the pie attaching onto the ramp section:
Fasten Breeze platform connector bracket to pie using three 1/4″-14 x 1″ drilling screws at left, center and right.Install handrails similar to Liberty instructions.
