Description

The convection heater is a device that heats a space by creating a current of warm air.

Safety

General safety

  • Read the manual carefully before use. Keep the manual for future reference.
  • The manufacturer is not liable for consequential damages or for damages to property or persons caused by non-observance of the safety instructions and improper use of the device.
  • The device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,  sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Only use the device for its intended purposes. Do not use the device for other purposes than described in the manual.
  • Do not use the device if any part is damaged or defective. If the device is damaged or defective, replace the device immediately.
  • The device is suitable for indoor use only. Do not use the device outdoors.
  • The device is suitable for domestic use only. Do not use the device for commercial purposes.
  • Do not use the device near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
  • If you use the device in a bathroom, remove the mains plug from the wall socket after use. The presence of water can cause a risk of personal injury or damage to the device even when the device is switched off.
  • Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the device automatically.
  • Do not expose the device to water or moisture.
  • Do not cover the device.
  • Do not block the ventilation openings.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the ventilation openings.
  • Place the device on a stable, flat surface.

Electrical safety

  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product should only be opened by an authorized technician when service is required.
  • Disconnect the product from the mains and other equipment if a problem should occur.
  • Do not use the device if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged or defective. If the mains cable or mains plug is damaged or defective, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized repair agent.
  • Before use, always check that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage on the rating plate of the device.
  • Do not move the device by pulling the mains cable. Make sure that the mains cable cannot become entangled.
  • Do not immerse the device, the mains cable or the mains plug in water or other liquids.
  • Do not leave the device unattended while the mains plug is connected to the mains supply.

Use

Initial useNote: If you switch on the device for the first time, the device may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell for a short period. This is a normal operation.

  • Place the device on its side.
  • Mount the supplied legs to the device using the supplied screws.

Use

  • Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
  • Turn the temperature dial fully clockwise to the maximum position.

Heating

  • Set the heating element switch (1/2) to the on position. A red indicator comes on. For maximum heat output (2000W), set both heating element switches to the maximum position.
  • Turn the temperature dial to increase or decrease the temperature. The heater keeps the air temperature in the room at the set temperature by switching on and off automatically.

Ventilation

  • Set the ventilation switch to the on position.
  • Turn the temperature dial to the required position.
  • Heating: Set the heating element switch to the on position.
  • Cooling: Set the heating element switch to the off position.

TimerThe 24-hour timer with 15-minute segments can be used to preset the duration of the desired operation period. To use the timer,  make sure that the heating element switches are in the ‘on’ position.

  • The timer switch has 3 positions.– Central position (clock symbol): The heater is switched on daily during the selected time period.– T position: The timer ignores the selected times. The heater is on continuously.– O position: The timer is off.
  • Set the timer switch to the central position to select a time period. Set the starting time by turning the numbered ring to the required position.
  • Set the running period by turning the segment ring to the required position.

Cleaning and maintenanceWarning!

  • Before cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the device, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the device has cooled down.
  • Do not use cleaning solvents or abrasives.
  • Do not clean the inside of the device.
  • Do not attempt to repair the device. If the device does not operate correctly, replace it with a new device.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the outside of the device using a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clean the airflow outlet using a vacuum cleaner.
