Safety Tips

  • Position on a flat, stable surface.
  • A service agent/qualified technician should carry out installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any components on this product.

  • Caution! Hot surface!The temperature of  accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. Always wear oven mittens when using the oven.
  • During and after cooking, the unit is still hot. Never touch the surface to avoid scalding.
  • DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
  • DO NOT clean with jet/ pressure washers.
  • DO NOT leave the appliance unattended during operation.
  • DO NOT obstruct or cover the appliance in any way when in use.
  • Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the appliance when not in use.
  • This appliance must only be used in accordance with these instructions and by persons competent to doso.
  • Keep all packaging away f rom children. Dispose of the packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Nos bets Essentials agent or a recommended qualified technician in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  •  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Not suitable for outdoor use.
  • This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or remote-control system.
  • Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
  • Nisbets Essentials recommend that this appliance should be periodically tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection, Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and Functional Testing.
  • Nisbets Essentials recommend that this product is connected to a circuit protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).

Introduction

Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Nisbets Essentials product.

This appliance is intended to be used for commercial applications, for example in kitchens of restaurants, canteens, hospitals, etc. but not for household and industrial use.

Installation

  1. Place the unit on a heat-resistant surface. Avoid placing it on or close to flammable materials. Maintain a distance of 20cm (7 inches) between the appliance and walls or other objects for ventilation.
  2. Keep the unit away from splashing water and countertop’s edge.

Operation

Before using for the first time

  1. Wash the accessories and oven interior thoroughly.
  2. Place the crumb tray, grill rack and baking tray inside the oven. Then close the door.
  3. Set the temperature dial to the highest setting (230°C) and function dial to . Let the appliance run for 15 minutes to eliminate any manufacturing residues.
  4. When the set time elapses, the appliance will beep then turn Off.
  5. Allow to cool. Then appliance is now ready to use.

Cooking

  1. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
  2. Set the temperature dial, function dial and timer dial to desired settings. The power indicator light will come on and the appliance will start to work.
  3. When the set time elapses, the appliance will beep then turn Off.

Warning

  • The timer dial also acts as the power switch. When set to “OFF”, the appliance willswitch off automatically.
  • During cooking, the temperature and cooking time can be adjusted at any time.
  • When the timer dial is set to “Stay On”, the appliance will keep working continuously.
  • Warning! Cooked food, metal rack, and door can be very hot. Handle with care!

Using the function dial

Upper and lower heating elements+ convection This function is ideal for baking pork slice, chicken legs, chicken wings, potato flakes, poultry meat, chops, fish and so on with more evenly heating up.Tips for use:•Use of a meat thermometer is highly recommended.• You can select the cooking temperature and time as needed.•Check food is cooked 5-10 minutes before completion.
Upper heating elements + convection
Upper and lower heating elements This function is ideal for cooking bread, pizza, and fowl in general. Tips for use:• You can select the cooking temperature and time as needed.• Upon completion, remove the food immediately, or the heat remaining in the oven will continue to toast and may dry out your food.
Upper heating elements + rotisserie This function is ideal for cooking whole chickens and fowl in general.Tips for use:• Use of a meat thermometer is highly recommended.• Ensure the baking tray is positioned on the lowest support guide to collect dripping oil.•Using the Rotisserie split: Insert the rotisserie spit through the centre of the food and secure using the 2 skewers (Inserting the skewers at different angles will help secure the food as it rotates). Then position then 2 ends of the rotisserie spit onto the spit sockets on the side walls, ensuring the square end is positioned on the right side.•Ensure to set the temperature dial to 230°C.•Check food is cooked 5-10 minutes before completion.
Convection + rotisserie

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

Warning: Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning. Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.

  • Clean the interior of the appliance as often as possible.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. These can leave harmful residues.
  • For stains on the interior walls, wipe with a cloth damped with some  mild soapy solution. Ensure no moisture enters the inside of the cabinet.
  • Always wipe dry after cleaning.
  • A Nisbets Essentials dealer or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.

Cleaning all removable trays and grill rack 

  • After use, remove the parts from the appliance for cleaning.
  • Clean using warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry well.
  • Re-locate into the appliance.

Note:

  • For best performance, Nisbets Essentials recommend that the appliance is cleaned after each day of operation.
  • Allow the appliance to cool and dry completely before storage. If storing the oven for long periods of time, make sure the oven is clean and free of food particles.

If your Nisbets Essentials appliance develops a fault, please check the following table before making a call to the Helpline.

Electrical Wiring

This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.

The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.

This appliance is wired as follows:

  • Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
  • Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
  • Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E

This appliance must be earthed.

If in doubt consult a qualified electrician

Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
