Charging batteries

Power on: Connect the LC10 to the Li-ion battery via the magnet at the end of cable.A red indicator will turn on to notify you of the battery level (please refer to the Power Tips).Plug the input port into a power bank, 5V solar panel or adapter to charge the battery.Charging tips: During charging, the red indicator will flash to indicate charging is in progress. Upon charging completion, the charger automatically stops charging and 3 indicators illuminate steadily.

NOTE: The battery must have magnetizable metal on its positive and negative tips.

Charging other devicesWhen it is not connected to a power supply, the LC10 with battery serves as a power bank to charge USB devices.

  • Connect 1 Li-ion battery first, and then plug the output port into a USB device to charge.
  • During charging, the red indicator will indicate the remaining battery power.

Backup Light

When the charger is connected to a power supply or when it is being used as a power bank, a white backup light on LC10 can be accessed by tapping the sensor switch on the back of the light. Tap the sensor switch repeatedly to cycle through “Low –Medium-High-OFF-Red power indicator”.

NOTE:

  1. Backup light cannot be turned on when the LC10 is charging a battery.
  2. Backup light will turn on automatically once the battery is removed during the charging.
  3. When using the LC10 as a power bank to charge other devices, the white light may flicker when the battery voltage gets low. This is normal.

Power TipsThe LC10 has 3 red power indicators to notify the battery level:

  • 3 indicators illuminated steadily represents the battery level is above 80%;
  • 2 indicators illuminated steadily represents the battery level is about 50%-80%;
  • 1 indicator illuminated steadily represents the battery level is below 50%;
  • 1 flashing indicator represents the battery level is low. Please recharge the battery at this time.

Cautions

  1. The charger is restricted to only charging cylinder rechargeable Li-ion batteries with nominal voltage of 3.6V or 3.7V. Please refer to the compatible batteries stated in the specifications of this user manual. Never use the charger with other types of batteries as this could result in battery explosion, cracking or leaking, causing property damage and/or personal injury.
  2. Do not connect two or more batteries in series as doing so may damage the charger or even cause fire and explosion.
  3. The safe operating temperature for the charger is between -10~40°C, and the safe storage temperature is -20~60°C.
  4. Do not leave a working charger unattended. If any malfunction is found, please terminate operation immediately.
  5. Please connect this charger to power supplies with the input voltage stated in the specifications of the user manual. If the input voltage is too low or too high, it may lead to malfunctions, or even a fire.
  6. The charger is designed for adults. Use of the charger by kids under age must be under supervision. Operation, using or cleaning of the charger may NOT be done by kids aged 8 years or younger.
  7. Never attempt to charge primary cells such as Alkaline, Zinc-Carbon, Lithium, CR123A, CR2, or any other unsupported chemistry due to risk of explosion and fire.
  8. Do not charge a damaged IMR battery as doing so may lead to charger short-circuit or even explosion.
  9. Never charge or discharge any battery showing evidence of leakage, expansion/swelling, damaged outer wrapper or case, color-change or distortion.
  10. DO NOT store or use the product in an environment where the temperature is extremely high / low or changes rapidly, or in a confined area with a high temperature.
  11. To prevent fire or electric shock, keep the charger away from rain, moisture or liquid.
  12. When it is used indoor, do not operate or store it in damp area. Keep all the inflammable volatile substances away from operating area.
  13. Do not overcharge or over discharge batteries. Recharge drained batteries as soon as possible.
  14. Opening, disassembling, modifying, tampering with the unit may invalidate its guarantee, check warranty terms.
  15. Do not misuse in any way! Use for intended purpose and function only.

Warranty Details

Our authorized dealers and distributors are responsible for warranty service. Should any problem covered under warranty occurs, customers can contact their dealers or distributors in regards to their warranty claims, as long as the product was purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor. NITECORE’s Warranty is provided only for products purchased from an authorized source. This applies to all NITECORE products. To be qualified for warranty, please refer to the “IMPORTANT WARRANTY NOTICE” section on top to validate your product.Any DOA / defective product can be exchanged for a replacement through a local distributor/ dealer within the 15 days of purchase. After 15 days, all defective /malfunctioning NITECORE® products can be repaired free of charge for a period of 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase. Beyond 12 months (1 year), a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts.The warranty is nullified if the product(s) is/are:

  1. broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by unauthorized parties
  2. damaged from wrong operations (e.g. charging incompatible battery or violating the cautions)
  3. damaged by batteries leakage.
