3L hydration reservoir instructions

Using the reservoir

   

  1. Unscrew reservoir cap.
  2. Fill the reservoir to desired amount.
  3. Replace cap and securely tighten.
  4. Squeeze reservoir to test seal.

Using the bite valve

Squeeze with heavy pressure
for first time use
  1. Place bite valve between fingers.
  2. Squeeze with heavy pressure 3 to 4 times to open valve.
On/off switch
for regular use
  1. Pull bite valve away from hose into “on” on position.
  2. Bite down on valve and sip to drink.
  3. Push bite valve back towards hose to close when not in use.

Placing the reservoir in the pack

step 1 – Once the reservoir is filled, insert it into the hydration compatible pocket. Place bag attachment strap through bladder pack loop at top of cap to secure.

step 2 – Push the tube through the opening at the top of the pack and secure it to the shoulder strap.

step 3 – Pull bite valve away from tube to “open” position. Bite down on the bite valve and sip liquid from the reservoir.

WARNING: Do not allow children under age six to use this hydration system. The bite valve may detach from the tubing, creating a choking hazard.

Cleaning and storage

     

Unscrew bite valve                                              Unscrew hose

  1. Unscrew bite valve from on/off connector.
  2. Unscrew reservoir cap.
  3. Unscrew hose from reservoir.
  4. Scrub all parts with baking soda/water. Shake, empty and rinse.
  5. Put 1 cup water and 1 tsp. lemon juice into reservoir. Shake, empty and rinse.
  6. Make sure parts are dry before storing.

IMPORTANT!!! Before using this reservoir system, make sure that the bite valve & the reservoir are firmly attached to the hose. Failure to do so may result in leaking at these connections.
