IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSPLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWhen using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions before using heater.
  2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface. If provided, always use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  4. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater or return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  6. Do not use the heater outdoors.
  7. This heater is not intended for use in bathroom, laundry areas and similar moist indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or their water container.
  8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  9. CAUTION: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is intended to fit only one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. To do so could result in an electric shock hazard.
  10. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation. To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that already has other appliances working.
  11. CAUTION: It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet.
  12. To disconnect the heater, first turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet. Never pull by the cord.
  13. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  14. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surface, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  15. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in the areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  16. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  17. CAUTION: Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or reloadable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  18. The output of this heater may vary and its temperature may become intense enough to burn exposed skin. Use of this heater is not recommended for persons with reduced sensitivity to heat or an inability to react to avoid burns.
  19. DO NOT COVERWarning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  20. CAUTION: to prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot and fully insert.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Step.1.● Check before turning on the machine

  1. Check if the power wire is under good condition.
  2. The product adopts 120V 60Hz AC power supply, before use, please confirm if the rated current of the power socket meets the local requirements with safe grounding device, otherwise, please replace it with the qualified socket.

Step.2.● Put the machine on the flat placeUneven place may possibly cause the tip-over switch at abnormal position, then the fan heater can’t work after turning on, therefore, please put the fan heater on the flat place, at least the surface below the base of the fan heater must be flat.

Step.3.● Plug in the fan heaterPlug the fan heater directly into a wall outlet/receptacle, fit only one way in a polarized outlet, match wide blade of plug to wide slot and fully insert, then the POWER indicator “ ” lights on( no matter whether the fan heater is turned on or not, the POWER indicator is on once the fan heater is plugged in). If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. Never use the fan heater with an extension cord or reloadable power tap (outlet/power strip).Step.4.● Turn on the fan heater and select functions

  1. Turn on the fan heaterPress the “ ” key to turn on the fan heater.
  2. Mode settingPress “” key continuously to select 4 functions: (Heat) 1500W High, (Heat) 900W Low, (Fan ) High, (Fan) Low.
  3. Temperature setting (only for heating function)Select “” or “” mode, then press “” key continuously to set the Temperature: 65°F 、70°F 、75°F 、80°F 、85°F, e.g. If the temperature is set at 85°F, the fan heater will turn off automatically when environmental temperature reaches 85°F, and restart working automatically when environmental temperature falls under 85°F to maintain set temperature.

Step.5.● Turn off the Fan heaterA. Press“” key to turn off the Fan heater.B. Remove the power plug, store the fan heater after the entire machine has become cool.

CAUTION

● Safety Protection

  1. Overheat protection: When the temperature in the fan heater is too high due to abnormality in the use environment or improper use, the thermostat device can automatically cut off the power and the fan heater stops working. After the whole fan heater is cooling, the fan heater can return to the normal use after removing the abnormality.
  2. Inversion/Tip-over protection: When the whole fan heater is inverted or tipped over, the safety system will automatically cut off the power, and return to the work state before inversion /tip-over after the body is placed upright.The fan heater will not turn off when it is taken up from the floor or desk, it only turns off automatically in overheat or inversion /tip-over condition.The inversion/tip-over protection is not sensitive when this fan heater is placed on carpet, please don’t use it on carpet

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your fan heater fails to operate, please follow these instructions:

  • Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly.
  • Be sure the fan heater is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is working properly.
  • Check for any obstruction. If you find any obstruction, turn off the fan heater. Unplug the fan heater and wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Carefully remove the obstruction. Plug the fan heater in and turn it on again by referring to the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: IF YOU EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR FAN HEATER, PLEASE SEE THE WARRANTY INFORMATION FOR INSTRUCTIONS. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR REPAIR THE FAN HEATER YOURSELF. CLEANING AND STORAGE

It is recommended that the fan heater be cleaned at least one time during the operating season in order to provide the optimum level of performance. ALWAYS TURN THE POWER SWITCH OFF AND UNPLUG THE FAN HEATER BEFORE CLEANING. Be sure to save the box for off-season storage.

  • Turn off the fan heater, unplug it and wait for the heater to cool down.
  • Use a dry cloth to clean only external surfaces of the fan heater.
  • Do not use any cleaning agents or detergents.
  • Never immerse the fan heater in water.
  • Pack the fan heater in the original carton and store it in a cool and dry place.

Midea America Corporation warrants as limited herein to the original purchaser of retail that each new Pelonis fan heater, shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This one (1) year warranty is limited to the heating elements, motor and electric control circuit board.

In the event of malfunctions or failure of your Pelonis fan heater, simply deliver or send the Pelonis fan heater, postage prepaid along with PROOF OF PURCHASE, within the warranty period of one (1) year, to Midea America Corporation. Midea America Corporation reserves the right to inspect the claimed defective part or parts to determine if the defect or malfunction complaint is covered by this warranty. Midea America Corporation shall, within sixty(60)days after receipt of the product, at its option, repair and/or replace the defective part or parts free of charge. This warranty shall only cover defects arising from normal usage. Midea America Corporation assumes no responsibility whatsoever if the Pelonis fan heater should fail during the warranty period by reason of:

  • Misuse, negligence, physical damage or accidents.
  • Lack of maintenance (see instructions for proper maintenance).
  • Repair by any unauthorized party during the warranty period.
  • Damage caused by connection to an improper input voltage (see specification label on your Pelonis fan heater).

Midea America Corporation makes no further warranties or representations, express or implied except those contained herein. No representative or dealer is authorized to assume any other liability regarding the Pelonis fan heater. The duration of the implied warranty granted under State law, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose are limited in duration should the duration of the express warranty grant it hereunder.
