SAFETY
- By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be held responsible for the damage.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.
- The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
- The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the supply.
- This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
- This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 year to 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
- To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The connector must be removed before the appliance will be cleaned, please make sure the inlet is completely dry before the unit will be used again.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:– Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments.– By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments.– Bed and breakfast type environments.– Farmhouses.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains when the appliance is not in use, before assembly or disassembly, and before cleaning and maintenance.
- Cooking appliances should be positioned in a stable situation with the handles (if any) positioned to avoid spillage of the hot liquids.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Surface are liable to get hot during use.

BEFORE THE FIRST USENOTE: NEVER USE THE FONDUE POT ON ANOTHER HEATING SOURCE THAN THE SUPPLIED HEATING BASE.
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Clean the forks and the fondue pot in warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
USE
- The fondue pan is suitable for various types of fondue, such as theclassic meat fondue, as well as cheese fondue, a chocolate fondue ora Chinese fondue (with stock).
- You can preheat the ingredients in a pan before pouring it into thefondue pot.
- Fill the pan with oil, cheese, stock or chocolate, but do not put toomuch in.
- Place the plug into the socket and set the thermostat button to thedesired temperature.
- The thermostat can be set between 0 and 11, 0 is off and 11 is the highest temperature.
Thermostat settings:
- Chocolat: Between 1 and 2, slowly build up the temperature so the chocolat will melt but don’t get burned, don’t go higher then 2.
- Cheese: Begin at 2 and build up to 6/8 to let the cheese melt, then set the thermostat at a desired lower temperature so the cheese don’t get burned or get stuck to the bottom of the pan.
- Broth: between 8 and 10, reduce the temperature if the food is cooked too quickly.
- Oil: Set it at the highest temperature setting 10 or 11.• These temperature settings are indicative. It is possible you have to adjust the thermostat in order to reach the ideal temperature.• While in use, the temperature light will go on and off: this shows that the thermostat is working correctly and that the contents of the pan are being heated at the set temperature.• Stir the fondue to make sure that it is fully melted.• Prick the food onto the fondue fork• Dip the food into the fondue and stir it into the fondue for a few seconds.• Take the fondue fork from the fondue pot and remove the food.• To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat dial to the minimum temperature and remove the main plug from the wall socket.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the appliance, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids for cleaning.
- Clean the forks and the fondue pot in warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly.
- Clean the base with a clean, dry cloth.
