Congratulations on your purchase of a new RIP CURL TIDE watch. Your watch has been specifically designed to help you score the best surf. Time and Tide is everything, and with this jeweled tide movement with dual time, date, seconds, and a light for at night, you’ll always know.
- Press the MODE button to view switch digital display from TIDE MODE, to DIGITAL TIME, to DATE.
- Press LIGHT button to activate digital light for three seconds.
DIGITAL TIDE, TIME AND DATE SETTING
- Ensure you are in TIDE mode.
- HOLD LIGHT in for 3 seconds to enter selling procedure. DIGITAL TIME will appear with HOURS flashing.
- Press MODE button to increase the HOUR. Press LIGHT to move to MINUTES setting.
- Press MODE button to increase the MINUTES. Press LIGHT to move to YEAR setting.
- Press MODE button to increase the YEAR. Press LIGHT to move to MONTH setting.
- Press MODE button to increase the MONTH. Press LIGHT to move to DAY setting.
- Press MODE button to increase the DAY. Press LIGHT to move to 12hr / 24hr time format setting.
- Press MODE button to change the 12hr / 24hr time format. Press LIGHT to move to DAY-MONTH format setting.
- Press MODE button change the DAY-MONTH format setting. Press LIGHT to move to TIDE setting.
- Press MODE button change the DAY-MONTH format setting. Press LIGHT to move to TIDE setting.
Find the NEXT HIGH TIDE TIME for your desired location from a trusted tide data source, website or tide guide. This is the time you will set in your watch.
- Press MODE button to increase the TIDE TIME HOUR. Press LIGHT to move to TIDE TIME MINUTES setting.
- Press MODE button to increase the TIDE TIME MINUTES. Press LIGHT to move to EL LIGHT setting.
- Press MODE to change EL LIGHT ON/OFF at any button press.
- Press LIGHT to FINISH SETTING PROCEDURE.

INSTRUCTIONS SETTING
Analogue time setting
To change analogue time:
- Pull out crown
- Turn the crown to move the hands to the correct time.
- Push crown back in fully. Analogue time can be used as a 2nd TIME ZONE.
WARNING!IMPORTANT : For your watch to be properly sealed, the crown must be fully pushed in. Never pull the crown out when your watch in in the water or wet.

Rip Curl watches are tested to the highest industry standards with the best Swiss pressure testing equipment and are purpose built for Surfing !NOTE : All Industry standards watch testing is done to an overpressure situation in a static laboratory environment and does not signify a diving depth. See recommended usage table.
Due to the fact that Surfing is in no way a static sport there are influences that can effect a watches ability to keep water out. eg : Frequent temperature changes, salt water and big wipeouts can diminish the longevity of the watches rubber seals.To keep your watch in peak condition for Surfing we recommend every 24 months you have your watch seals replaced and fully tested at the Rip Curl Watch Service Centre.
