WOOFER WIRING CONFIGURATIONS

Use the diagrams below to determine which amplifier is best compatible with your subwoofers, and to determine the best way to wire your subwoofers to your amplifier.

ONE 4Ω SVC WOOFER

Wiring one SVC sub to an amp is the most basic type of wiring. The best option is to always match the exact impedance of the sub to the exact impedance the amp is stable at. For an SVC 4-ohm sub, we recommend that you wire it to a 2-ohm stable mono amp or you can use a 2-channel amp that is stable at 4 ohms when bridged.

TWO 4Ω SVC WOOFERS

The best way to wire two SVC 4-ohm subs is to run them in parallel, bringing the load down to 2 ohm. You can use a mono amplifier that is stable at 1 ohm or 2 ohms without a problem.
