The cabin air filter is located in the passenger footwell behind the centre console. For better working space, slide the passenger seat all the way back.- Locate the cabin air filter housing sitting at the far end of the centre console against the firewall see Pic 1 below. Pull the lid from the top “U” shaped tab to unclip then slide slightly up and pull towards you to remove the lid.
- Grab the old cabin air filter and pull it out gently from the housing to avoid any accumulated debris from spreading around.
- Note the opening of the housing is smaller than the filter. To get it in without damaging the element, squish the new cabin air filter in the middle and insert it through the opening making sure it sits properly inside and that there is no severe distortion to the filters shape and pleats.
- Close off the housing by placing first the bottom section of the lid on the housing (see pic 2) and then press the top corner against the housing until it “clicks”.
