Turn On
Press the power button on the right-hand side of the unit. You will hear the welcome message ‘Sensear, Sounds Good To Me’ The green light on the right-hand side of the unitwill begin to flash slowly. You are in SENS Mode – Speech Enhancement Noise Suppression.
Turn Off
Press and hold the power button on the right-hand side of the unit. You will hear the shut-down tones.
Adjusting The Volume
Press the plus (+) or minus (-) sign button on the right-hand side of the unit. For the highest volume continue to press the plus (+) button until you hear a double beep. The unit limits ear noise exposure to 82dB(A)
Switching Modes
To switch between SENS and passive or quiet mode press the power button once you have turned on the unit. The green light on the right-hand side of the unit will flash intermittently in SEN’s mode and quickly in passive or quiet mode. In quiet mode, SEN’s audio will be muted.
Two-way Radio Instructions
For wired headsets turn the unit on. Connect the 2-way radio by using the cable provided and turning the radio on. Push-to-talk functionality can be used by pressing the push-to-talk button on the supplied radio cable.
Enabling and Pairing your Bluetooth device
With the unit turned on press and hold the multi-function button on the left-hand side of the unit for 4 seconds. You will hear the message ‘Bluetooth discoverable’ and the light next to the button will turn blue constantly. Make sure the Short Range feature is turned off.
Enter connectivity settings on your Bluetooth device and under Bluetooth search for new devices. Once the search is complete select ‘Sensear SM’ to connect. The pair is complete once you hear a bell tone in the headset. Tip: Calls can be answered, or ended, on the device or via the multi-function button on the headset. A short press of the multi-function button to answer and a long press of the multi-function to hang up. The Sensear headset will connect to cell phones, Bluetooth-equipped two-way radios, and tablets as well as stream music.
Using short-range FM headset to headset communications
Press the plus (+) and minus (-) volume buttons simultaneously and you will hear ‘Short Range FM on’. Tip: To transmit using short-range use the multi-function button on the left-hand earcup as a push to talk button.
The headset is preprogrammed from the factory with 8 default frequencies. You can select between these 8 preprogrammed frequencies by performing a press and hold ofthe volume (+) button (about 5 seconds). In the headset, you will hear an announcement of the new frequency being selected. Pressing and holding the (+) button again will take you to the next frequency of the 8 preprogrammed frequencies and so forth.
Tip: select an unused frequency. One that does not have a radio station or other interference playing on it.
