SELF-CLEANING BRUSHROLL

If any hair is wrapped around the brushroll, continue vacuuming, using Carpet/Low Pile mode on a bare floor surface, a low-pile carpet, or a small area rug. This will allow the self-cleaning brushroll to remove the hair wrap and send it to the dust cup. If you run over a hard or sharp object or notice a noise change while vacuuming, check for blockages or objects caught in the brushroll. If some fibers remain wrapped around the brushroll after continued use, carefully remove them.

  • Dust cup may be full; empty dust cup.
  • Check handle, hose, hose connections, nozzle, wand, pod, and accessories for blockages. Clear any blockages found.

FAQS

What’s in the box?

Shark Rotator Upright VacuumDusting BrushWide Upholstery Tool12″ Crevice Tool

What about the filters? The infomercial never mentions them as far as need for cleaning, replacement, or ease of removing and cleaning.

The filters are very easy to remove and clean. Based on experience, if you don’t overfill the container then cleaning filters is not needed often. I’ve cleaned them before and it isn’t hard. You have to let them dry out completely though which takes some hours. Cleaning hair and threads from the beater bar is quite a cumbersome task though. About 30 minutes with a screwdriver to disassemble t and reassemble the floor piece.

Does it come with the filter or do you need to buy it separately.?

You can also buy filters for it on Amazon.

Is this vacuum good on very thick carpet

No does not work on plush carpet. The brush stops. You can turn brush off but then what’s the point

what about the filters?

The filters are washable and replacement filters are available and reasonable

does it have a light

yes, it come with light,

What is the width of the path?

The width measures 11.5 inches.

any difference between 501 and 502?

Yes. One comes with a car cleaning kits, which we found to be very useful. Im pretty sure its the 502. Ill check into it a bit more for you, but this is what I believe the “model number difference” to be.

What is the weight of this vacuum cleaner?

Not sure exactly, but the lightest high quality vacuum I’ve ever had, can carry it up stairs one handed with a cast on my other arm

How to replace LED lights at front of vacuum?

It’s just like the rest of the vacum cleaner, not very good.

how is the pet power brush powered?

You attach it to the hose and the air turns the brush. It works very well (we have two dogs who shed horribly)

What is the horsepower on this vacuum?

The horsepower is not known by Shark. He said they do not measure it in that way but the voltage is 120V, 60Hz. Watts is 1200W and Amps is 10A.

Who can tell me the size of the Nozzle? Is it suit for 1.3“ Inner diameter dust brush?

It comes with it’s own dust brush

Do both navigator and rotator use belts to power brush rugs?

Yes, the brush is belt driven.

hepafilter?

Yes, it has a hepafilter…you dont have to clean it out too often at all, and the other two filters that are right outside the the tank that you empty, those arent the hepa filter, but those two are washable as well so you dont have to worry about buying new ones.

Is the hose long enough

Yes, if the vacuum would roll like it should, the hose is long enough. It’s painful when the vacuum won’t roll and it falls on my leg! It rolls on tile floors, but not carpet

will this get under furniture?

We would like you to know that the Shark® Rotator® Professional Upright Corded Bagless Vacuum is not a powered lift away. This mean that you cannot put it in lift away mode and still have power to the floor nozzle to make the brushroll spin. With this being said, you can vacuum under the edge of furniture, depending on the clearance.
