DO NOT use if nozzle or accessoryairflow is restricted. If the airpaths or the motorized floornozzle become blocked, turn thevacuum cleaner off and unplugfrom electrical outlet. Remove allobstructions before you plug inand turn on the unit again.
Keep nozzle and all vacuumopenings away from hair, face,fingers, uncovered feet, orloose clothing.
DO NOT use if vacuum cleaner isnot working as it should, or hasbeen dropped, damaged, leftoutdoors, or dropped into water.
Use extra care when cleaningon stairs.
DO NOT leave the vacuum cleanerunattended while plugged in.
When powered on, keep thevacuum cleaner moving over thecarpet surface at all times to avoiddamaging the carpet fibers.
DO NOT place vacuum cleaneron unstable surfaces such as chairsor tables.
Your Shark® vacuum may notbe designed to stand up on its own.When taking a break from cleaning,you may need to lean it againstfurniture or a wall, or lay it flaton the floor. Using the vacuumfor an application where the unitlacks stability may result inpersonal injury.

Turn off all controls before pluggingin or unplugging the vacuum.
Unplug from electrical outletwhen not in use and beforeany maintenance or cleaning.
Hand wash with water only.Washing with cleaning chemicalscould damage the unit.
During cleaning or routinemaintenance, DO NOT cut anythingother than hair, fibers, or stringwrapped around the brushroll.
Allow all filters to air-dry completelybefore replacing in the vacuum toprevent liquid from being drawninto electric parts.
Make sure the dust cup and allfilters are in place after routinemaintenance.
If provided, secure the powercord around the two cord hooksduring storage.

Insert Wand into Floor Nozzle.
Insert Handheld Vacuum into wand.

Ensure all connections click securely into place.

Slide switch to the bottom to turn off power. To beginvacuuming, slide switch to the appropriate setting.

Bare Floor/Small Area Rugs The brushroll spins slowly toclean bare floors and delicate area rugs.

CarpetThe brushroll spins faster to pick up debris belowthe surface of your carpet.

NOTE: For deep cleaning per ASTM F 608 (embedded dirt in carpets) please use setting II, Carpet.NOTE: Select Carpet for stuck-on dust and debris.

To clean floors, place foot on floor nozzleand tilt handheld vacuum back

Detach the wand for more reach to cleanbaseboards, ceiling fans, window sills, and otherhard-to-access areas. Stand the vacuum upright,then step on the foot pedal on the left side of thefloor nozzle and pull the wand up to disconnect it.

Press the Wand Release button to lift the handheldvacuum off the wand. Attach the handheld vacuumto an accessory or directly to the nozzle. Great forcleaning stairs and furniture.

NOTE: All accessories are compatible with both the wand and the handheld vacuum

WHAT DOES THE BRUSHROLL INDICATOR LIGHT MEAN?Solid GreenThe brushroll is on and working as it should.Solid RedThere is a jam in the brushroll area. Turn your vacuum off and remove the blockage.No Light: The vacuum is off or in the upright position.Flashing Red: The vacuum has overheated. See Troubleshooting section.

Press the wand release button on the top of thewand to detach the handheld vacuum. Align thecatch on the bottom of the handheld vacuum withthe storage hook on the wand. Slide the handheldvacuum down so the catch hangs from the storagehook. Wrap the cord around the two cord hooks,starting with the top hook, leaving a little slack.

For convenient storage above the floor, a wall mountis available for purchase on sharkaccessories.com. Itcomes with hardware and an instruction sheet witha mounting template.

NOTE: Wrap the power cord around the top hook first,leaving a little slack while wrapping.

MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT: Unplug the vacuum before performing any maintenance.

EMPTYING THE DUST CUP

The dust cup needs to be emptied each time you vacuum and periodically during cleaning, when debris in the dust cup reaches the MAX fill line.

Press the wand releasebutton and lift the handheldvacuum off the wand.

With the dust cup attached to the handheld vacuum,press the Empty button on the front of the dust cup.

To remove the dust cup from the handheld vacuum,squeeze the two Dust Cup Release buttons at thesame time and pull out the dust cup. Press the Emptybutton on the front of the dust cup.

IMPORTANT: Unplug the vacuum before performing any maintenance.

CLEANING FILTERS

Perform regular maintenance on the filters to keep your vacuum’s suction power optimal.IMPORTANT: To prevent damage, rinse filters with water ONLY. DO NOT use soap. Allow filters to air-dry forat least 24 hours before reinstalling them to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts.

Wash the pre-motor filters once a month.

REPLACEMENT FILTERS

Replacement Pre-Motor Filter Kit Replacement Post-Motor FilterXPMFK320 1084FTV320NOTE: The pre-motor filters should be replaced every 2.5 years. The post-motor filter should be replaced every 3 years.

Remove the wand from the handheld vacuum andcheck all dust cup intake openings.

Detach the wand and check it for blockages.

Detach the wand. To open the brushroll garage, slideboth release buttons on the floor nozzle away fromyou, toward the back of the nozzle, then lift off the lid.Tilt back the neck of the nozzle and check openingsfor blockages. To close the brushroll garage, insertthe 3 tabs on top of lid into the 3 slots in the nozzle,then push down firmly on both sides of the lid until itclicks securely into place.

NOTE: If the brushroll indicator light is green and the headlights are flashing, check again that both sides of the lid are lockedin place.

CLEANING THE SELF-CLEANING BRUSHROLLIf any hair is wrapped around the brushroll, continue cleaning, using Carpet mode on a bare floor surface, alow-pile carpet, or a small area rug. This will allow the self-cleaning brushroll to remove the hair wrap and sendit to the dust cup.If some fibers remain wrapped around the brushroll after continued use, open the brushroll garage to remove them.

To open the brushroll garage, slide both release buttons on the floor nozzle away from you, toward theback of the nozzle, then lift off the lid.
Clear away any objects or debris.
To close the brushroll garage, insert the 3 tabs on top of lid into the 3 slots in the nozzle, then push downon both sides of lid until it clicks securely into place. If Brushroll Indicator Light is green and headlightsare flashing, check again that both sides of lid are locked in place.

CLEANING THE SOFT ROLLER

To remove Soft Roller from nozzle, first open the brushroll garage, then pull the Soft Roller out by the tab.
Tap loose debris off the Soft Roller. Use a dry towel to wipe the Soft Roller clean, and to remove any debriscaught in the teeth behind the Soft Roller.
Hand wash the Soft Roller as needed. Use only water, and let air-dry completely for at least 24 hours.
Reinsert the Soft Roller and close the brushroll garage by inserting the 3 tabs on top of the lid into the 3 slotsin the nozzle. Then push down on both sides of the lid until it clicks securely into place. If Brushroll IndicatorLight is green and headlights are flashing, check again that both sides of the lid are locked in place.

NOTE: With normal use, you may need to perform routine maintenance of your Soft Roller.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Vacuum is not picking up debris. No suction or light suction.(Refer to Maintenance section for more information.)

Check filters to see if they need cleaning. Follow instructions for rinsing and completely air-drying thefilters before reinserting in the vacuum.
Dust cup may be full; empty dust cup.
Check floor nozzle and wand for blockages; clear blockages if required.
Remove any string, carpet fibers, or hair that may be wrapped around the brushroll or Soft Roller.
Ensure the brushroll garage is locked in place by pushing down on both sides of the lid until it clickssecurely into place.

Vacuum lifts area rugs.

Suction is powerful. Take care when vacuuming area rugs or rugs with delicately sewn edges.
Turn off the unit to disengage the brushrolls. To restart, slide the power switch to setting I, Bare Floor/Small Area Rugs.

Brushrolls do not spin.

If the Brushroll Indicator Light is solid red, immediately turn off and unplug the vacuum. Disconnectwand from floor nozzle and clear any blockages from the air path in the nozzle and from the brushrolls.Reconnect wand, plug in vacuum, and turn on power.
If the Brushroll Indicator Light is solid green and the LED headlights are flashing, the brushroll garage lid isnot completely closed. Press down firmly on all sides of the lid until it clicks into place.
If Brushroll Indicator Light on the floor nozzle is green, the blockage has been successfully cleared and thebrushroll garage lid is completely closed. If the light is still red, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-798-7398.

Vacuum turns off on its own or if the indicator light flashes red.This vacuum is equipped with a motor-protective thermostat so it will shut off if it overheats. Should thisoccur, perform the following steps to restart the motor-protective thermostat:

Turn vacuum off and unplug it.
Empty dust cup and clean filters (see Maintenance section).
Separate the floor nozzle from the wand. Remove the brushroll garage lid to check the air path,brushroll, and Soft Roller for blockages.
Check for blockages in the wand, handheld vacuum inlet openings, and accessories.
Allow unit to cool for a minimum of 60 minutes.
Plug in vacuum and turn it on.

FIVE (5) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The Five (5) Year Limited Warranty applies to purchases made from authorized retailers of SharkNinjaOperating LLC. Warranty coverage applies to the original owner and to the original product only and isnot transferable.SharkNinja warrants that the unit shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a periodof five (5) years from the date of purchase when it is used under normal household conditions andmaintained according to the requirements outlined in the Owner’s Guide, subject to the following conditions and exclusions:

What is covered by this warranty?

The original unit and/or non-wearable components deemed defective, in SharkNinja’s sole discretion,will be repaired or replaced up to five (5) years from the original purchase date.
In the event a replacement unit is issued, the warranty coverage ends six (6) months following the receipt date of the replacement unit or the remainder of the existing warranty, whichever is later.SharkNinja reserves the right to replace the unit with one of equal or greater value.

What is not covered by this warranty?

Normal wear and tear of wearable parts (such as foam filters, HEPA filters, pads, etc.), which requireregular maintenance and/or replacement to ensure the proper functioning of your unit, are not coveredby this warranty. Replacement parts are available for purchase at sharkaccessories.com.
Any unit that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes.
Damage caused by misuse (e.g., vacuuming up water or other liquids), abuse, negligent handling,failure to perform required maintenance (e.g., not cleaning the filters), or damage due to mishandlingin transit.
Consequential and incidental damages.
Defects caused by repair persons not authorized by SharkNinja. These defects include damages causedin the process of shipping, altering, or repairing the SharkNinja product (or any of its parts) when therepair is performed by a repair person not authorized by SharkNinja.
Products purchased, used, or operated outside North America.
