WORKING LOAD: 200 LBS.

TO USE:

Place the foam insert inside the bottom of the Moon Swing with the post through the center of the foam insert, and the flat side of the insert to the bottom of the swing. Push in on the base and zip the zipper. Make sure that the zipper is zipped all the way closed with the zipper slider completely under the pocket at the end of the zipper. Do not use if the zipper slider is exposed. This could present a hazard to your client.

The Moon Swing may be used suspended, sitting on the floor, or as a “broom” horse. For gravitationally insecure clients you may wish to use the Moon Swing on the floor. If used on the floor, always remove the Locking Safety Snap. To remove the  Locking Safety Snap, untwist the lock, push in on the gate, and slide the hook end of the snap carefully through the hole in the top of the Moon Swing. Use caution not to snag the fabric. When not in use, be careful not to lose the Locking Safety Snap.  Attach the snap to your suspension system for storage.

SUSPENSION PROCEDURES:To suspend your Moon Swing, connect the Locking Safety Snap, which comes attached to the top of your swing, to your suspension system.

NOTE: Do not use aluminum snaps with this item. Aluminum snaps will cause premature wear at the connection point of the Moon Swing.

MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST:

All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed.

  • Check the Locking Safety Snap for wear. If wear is more than 1/3 of the diameter of the snap, discontinue use. (See Safety Snap Instruction Sheet).
  • Check the gate on the Locking Safety Snap to make sure that it is working properly. If not working properly, discontinue use.
  • Check the zipper to make sure that it will close completely. If the zipper becomes separated, it may be repaired by forcing it completely open and re-closing it. If the zipper still does not close, discontinue use until repaired.
  • Check all seams for loose or missing stitches. If loose or missing stitches are found, discontinue use until repaired. Check the top of the swing where the Locking Safety Snap goes through for wear. If wear is observed, discontinue use until repaired.

STORAGE PROCEDURES:

  • Store out of direct sunlight.
  • Store away from all chemicals and household cleaners.
  • The store was not accessible by clients without proper supervision.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

If you are using it in an environment with incontinent or drooling clients you may need to place the foam in a plastic bag before inserting it in the swing. This will allow a minimum of cleaning to the insert.

Some surface dirt may be cleaned from the cover with a damp cloth using soap and water or disinfectant. For complete cleaning, remove snap and machine wash using mild detergent and cold water. DO NOT BLEACH.

  • Check with your infectious disease department before using these procedures.
  • Check for client allergies first.
  • Air dry or dry in dryer using low heat.

CAUTION

  • Check ceiling eye bolt for wear and movement. Use a Southpaw Safety Rotational Device to prevent abnormal wear.
  • Floor mats of proper thickness should be positioned properly under and around all suspended equipment.
