This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the product. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the manual for future reference. If you pass the product on to others please include this manual.

Safety instructions

Intended useThis device is used to distribute an RDM / DMX signal through six separate outputs. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

Danger for childrenEnsure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They couldswallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.

Where to use the productNever use the product

  • in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
  • in extremely dusty or dirty areas
  • at locations where the unit can become wet

General handling

  • To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.

Operating elements and connections

  1. PWR: The red LED lights up when the device is connected to the mains.
  2. DMX: The green LED flashes as soon as a DMX signal is present at one of the DMX IN sockets and goes out when the DMX signal is interrupted.
  3. OUT 1 – OUT 6: DMX outputs 1 to 6 with 3-pin and 5-pin XLR panel sockets. Always use only one connection to control spotlights etc., never both connections at the same time (use either 3-pin or 5-pin socket).
  4. POWER IN: Power Twist mains connection socket for the power supply of the device. A suitable power cord is included.
  5. POWER OUT: Power Twist mains output socket for the power supply of other devices. Make sure that the total current consumption of all connected devices does not exceed 12 A, otherwise injuries and irreparable damage to the device can occur.
  6. F1AL250V: If the fuse has blown, disconnect the device from the power supply and replace the fuse with a new fuse of the same type. If the fuse blows repeatedly, please contact our service.
  7. Pass Thru / Terminated: If several DMX splitters 6 RDM are connected in series, this switch must be in the ‘Terminated’ position on the last device in the chain. For all other devices in the chain, this switch must be in the ‘Pass Thru’ position. Only then will the input signals be forwarded to the DMX / RDM THRU sockets.
  8. DMX / RDM IN: DMX input with 3-pin and 5-pin XLR panel plugs for connecting a DMX control unit. Always use only one connection for the control, never both inputs at the same time.
  9. DMX / RDM THRU: 3-pin and 5-pin XLR panel sockets for forwarding the DMX signal present at the DMX input (DMX / RDM IN). Always use only one connection to forward the DMX signal, never both outputs at the same time.

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
