Congratulations on your purchase of the Starlit® Fast Heater, the wall-socket space heater. This cordless ceramic heater provides fast and easy heat anywhere in the house. Just plug it in and set the temperature. The two-speed fan guarantees constant comfort and the digital display can be used to set any temperature from 15ºC to 32ºC.Please read this user manual carefully and pay close attention to all the safety instructions before using the product for the first time. Keep this manual on hand for future use.

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Use Starlyft® Fast Heater indoors with the windows and doors closed to stop the

heat from escaping. For best results, place Starlyft® Fast Heater close by, at amaximum distance of 3 metres.

– To ensure the heater does not overheat and to avoid the risk of fire, do not cover the device. Keep it away from combustible materials.– The heater should not be plugged in immediately below a socket.

Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Do not use the heater in the bathroom within a distance of 3.0 m in all directions away from the bathtub, shower head, water tap or other water container ( See below figure) and any other positions subjected to splash. Please make sure the heater can’t be touched by persons who are taking a bath Do not use the heater in laundry areas and similar indoor locations where splash may occur. The heater shall be in a position that, after being plugged in the socket outlet, the bottom line of the appliance kept at least 0.2m above the floor.

DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY FOR WALL SOCKETSCAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not use extension cables. CAUTION: POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL HAZARD IF THESE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.Read the instructions before using the heater for the first time.When using household appliances, it is always essential to take basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. These precautions include the following:

  • This heater should be plugged into a 220V-240V circuit. Nothing else should be plugged into the same circuit. If you are not sure whether your home complies with this specification, consult a qualified electrician before using the product. Failure to comply with this requirement may cause fire, overheating, poor performance, material damage, injury and even death.
  • Do not connect it to extension cables, surge protectors, timers, residual-current devices or sockets where other household devices are plugged in. Failure to comply with this requirement may cause fire, overheating, poor performance, material damage, injury and even death.
  • This product heats up when operating. To avoid burns, keep bare skin from making contact with hot surfaces.
  • Place the front of the heater at least 0.9 m away from combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bed linen, papers, clothing and curtains, and keep these materials away from the sides and rear of the heater.– Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.– Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.– This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved– Children shall not play with the appliance”– Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision

  • Unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Do not use the heater if the plug is damaged, the heater does not work properly, or the device has fallen and been damaged in any way. Throw it away or take it to an authorized technical service centre for examination and repair.
  • Do not use the product outdoors. If the heater is exposed to inclement weather (rain, snow, sun, wind or extreme temperatures), it could become a safety hazard.
  • Never place the heater where it can fall into a bath or any other container with water.
  • To disconnect the heater, first switch the ON/OFF button to the OFF position and then unplug it from the wall socket.
  • Do not allow any objects to enter the air intake and outlet vents or to block the vents, as this could cause electric shock, fire and damage to the heater.
  • To prevent fire, do not block the air intake and outlet vents in any way. Do not use the heater on soft surfaces (such as a bed) where the air vents could be blocked.
  • The heater has hot parts and interior parts that can produce sparks and electric arcs. Do not use in places where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are stored. Do not use flammable solvents to clean the device. Keep the product dry at all times.
  • The heater should only be used as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could cause fire, electric shock or personal injury.-This product is for household use only.-This product is not suitable for outdoor use.

SERVICING DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCESIn a double-insulated appliance, two insulation systems are provided instead of an earth wire. No earthing means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for earthing be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should only be done by qualified service personnel. The replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated appliance is labelled with the words “CLASS II” or “DOUBLE INSULATED”. It can also be identified with the double insulation symbol.

2. DIRECTIONS

  1. Plug the Starlyf® Fast Heater into a 220V-240V socket. (1)
  2. To turn on the heater, switch the ON/OFF button (on the side of the device) to the ON position. (2)
  3. Select the desired temperature. On the digital display, use the “+” button to increase the temperature and the “-” button to reduce it (between 15ºC and 32ºC). (3)
  4. Select the desired fan speed. On the digital display, press the fan speed button to choose either high speed (HH) or low (LL). (4)
  5. When you finish using the device, switch the ON/OFF button to the OFF position and unplug the Starlyf® Fast Heater from the power socket. Store the device in a cool, dry place until the next time you need it. (5)Remark: The device stops heating when the target temperature is reached.

SETTING THE TIMERThe Starlyf® Fast Heater has a built-in timer that automatica-

lay shuts off the device after a pre-set time period.

  1. After plugging in and turning on the Starlyf® Fast Heater, press the timer button to activate it, as shown in the figure (6).
  2. Press the timer button repeatedly until the display shows the number of hours you want the Starlyf® Fast Heater to stay on before shutting off. You can choose from 1 to 12 hours.
  3. Once the desired number of hours is displayed, stop pressing the button.
  4. To cancel the timer, turn off the Starlyf® Fast Heater. NOTE: For safety reasons, the Starlyf® Fast Heater’s maximum default timer setting is 12 hours.

3. CARE AND MAINTENANCECAUTION: Before beginning any kind of maintenance task, unplug the Starlyf® Fast Heater and wait until it has completely cooled down. · Use a damp, non-abrasive cloth to wipe down the exterior. If necessary, use a mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth. WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW LIQUID TO ENTER THE HEATER DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, scouring powder, furniture polish or scrub brushes to clean the heater. This could damage the product housing.DO NOT immerse the Starlyf® Fast Heater in water.• Wait until the device is completely dry before using it.• Store the heater in a cool, dry place when not in use. Warning: If the device stops working because it overheats, unplug it from the power socket and plug it in again.
