Instrument Operation

Press the power button located just below the ThermoWorks logo to activate the unit.Press again to power the unit off.

  1. Insert the outdoor sensor into the holder. Use the screw or tape provided to attach the sensor holder to the desired outdoor location.
  2. Plug sensor into unit.
  3. Install battery, observing correct polarity.
  4. The unit will perform a self-test for about five seconds, then display readings normally.
  5. Peel off the clear protective plastic on the LCD display.
  6. Place the unit away from direct sunlight, rain, or extreme heat.

To Select Internal or External Temperature

  1. . Press [INT/EXT] to display external temperature. “Ext” icon would appear in the display.
  2. Press the button again to display internal temperature. “Int” icon would appear.

To Select ˚F or ˚CPress the °C/°F button on the back panel to select the desired temperature unit.

Ice Point Alert

  1. Press the ALERT button on the back panel to enable the ice point alert function. The word “Alert” will show on the display.
  2. An alarm will sound when the outdoor temperature is equal to or less than 32°F / 0°C.
  3. Press the button again to disable the alert.

Memory

  1. Press the MAX/MIN button to display the maximum measured value.
  2. Press the button again to display the minimum measured value.
  3. Press the button again to return to normal display.
  4. To reset the MAX/MIN memory, press and hold the MAX/MIN button until two bars “– –” are displayed, then release the button.
  5. Reset the memory before taking a new maximum/minimum reading.

Care and Cleaning

If the unit will not be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries to prevent battery leakage. When icon appears, replace batteries.
