Read all instructions carefully and completely before operating. Only trained operators should use the crane and perform daily inspections for all parts.
Use caution when unpacking and check for any damage that may have occurred in transit.
Make sure all hardware is tightened when assembly is complete.
Assembly
Slide leg into Y-connector and secure with frame pin and cotter pin. Insert knob and tighten until it presses firmly against the leg. Repeat with remaining legs. (See Figure 1)NOTE: Use hole furthest from edge of leg.
Fit caster mounting bracket on leg and secure with frame pin and cotter pin. Repeat with remaining legs. (See Figure 2)
Bolt locking swivel caster to caster mounting bracket using 3⁄8″ bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. Tighten with 9⁄16″ wrench. Repeat with remaining legs. (See Figure 3)
Fit I-beam mounting bracket with clamps on adjustable post. Secure with top lock pin and cotter pin. Repeat with the other adjustable post. (See Figure 4)
Slide adjustable post through Y-connector. At desired height, insert the height adjustment pin and cotter pin. Insert knob and tighten until it presses firmly against the adjustable post. Repeat with the other adjustable post. (See Figure 5)NOTE: Set the height adjustment pins at the same notch on each adjustable post to ensure the gantry crane is level when standing.
6. Slide I-beam flange beneath the clamps bolted to the I-beam mounting bracket. Tighten bolts with 13/16″ wrench. Repeat on the other end of the I- beam. (See Figure 6)
NOTE:
Before lifting the gantry crane, make sure all bolts and clamps are fully tightened.
Lock the swivel casters before lifting the gantry crane.
Two man lift recommended if lifting manually.
To lift the gantry crane with a forklift, slide forks under I-beam and slowly raise the forks while slowly driving forward until the crane is upright and stable.
Do not lift the gantry crane until all people are safely out of the way.
