IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- CAUTION —The WICK reaches high temperatures. Do not touch metal parts when in use as they may cause burns.
- This is not a toy and is not intended for use by children. Keep out of reach of children.
- Never leave the WICK unattended while in use.
- Do not pour liquid wax down the drain. It will cause blockage.
- Do not immerse the WICK in water or other liquid. The danger of electric shock.
- Misuse may cause burns, electric shock, and other injuries.
- Always use the WICK on an uncluttered, heatproof, and level work surface.
- After using the WICK let it cool naturally before storing.
- There are no customer serviceable parts inside the unit. Do not disassemble the WICK.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- For domestic use only. Use only for the intended purposes.
- A small emission of smoke from the WICK upon first use is normal.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
GETTING STARTED
- Select a heat-resistant and level work surface.
- Use cardboard or newspaper to protect your work surface from dripped wax as hardened wax is sometimes difficult to remove.
- Before getting started, ALWAYS check:• the Temperature Control Knob is at the “0”, OFF position.• the Wax Dripping Valve is at the “CLOSED” position.NOTE: No indicator light should light up when the knob and valve are both closed.
- During operation:• The RED indicator light indicates the heater is ON.• The BLUE indicator light indicates the valve is OPEN (the wax will drip!).
PREPARING THE CANDLE MOLD
- Choose the desired candle mold size.
- Check that the mold is clean and completely dry.NOTE: Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the plastic candle molds. They will leave scratches. If needed, use a hairdryer to warm residual wax and then wipe with a dry cloth.
- Check that the bottom part of the plastic candle mold is screwed on properly to avoid leaking. NOTE: Do not screw mold too tightly or it will be difficult to remove once the wax has set.
- Cut a piece of wick (approx. 7-8 inches) and put the wick through the bottom hole of the plastic candle mold.
- At the bottom of the candle mold, press the small rubber stopper into the hole while leaving approx. 2 inches of wick outside. This rubber stopper prevents the leaking of melted wax during the forming process.
