INVENTORY

A. Wall mount filter bracket – Head with a built-in valveB. Inlet hose – 3/8 female compression by 1/4 standard pipe threadC. Outlet hose- 3/8 male compression by 1/4 standard pipe.D. Gen2 filter.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Watch our ‘How to install’ video on Wader.biz website.
  2. Write the date of installation on the filter for future references.
  3. Under the sink, turn off the water supply valve to ‘off’ position.
  4. Disconnect existing fittings to cold water supply valve that leads to faucet.
  5. Connect #2 Hose (inlet, 3/811 female hose) to the cold water supply valve.
  6. Connect #3 Hose (outlet, 3/811 male hose) to the existing faucet hose.
  7. Secure the bracket in a convenient location under the sink.
  8. Turn on the cold water supply.

ACTIVATION

  1. Turn on the cold water on the faucet. Do NOT drink the water. It may contain carbon ‘fines’.
  2. Allow cold water (only) to gently flow for 3 minutes until the water comes clear. (Only 5% of the filters get black wash).NOTE: During initial use you may notice cloudy water. It is caused by air bubbles that are trapped within the filter. It is not harmful and should clear up within a week.
  3. Turn faucet water off and check for leaks. If needed, tighten the fittings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This filter should be removed and discarded not later than 3 years from the date of installations.
  • This filter should be used in conjunction with municipally treated drinking water or water that has been proper disinfected prior use.
  • This filter should be used with cold water only
  • Flow rate: Pressure on municipal system varies greatly. Water flow through the filter should be kept at or below the maximum recommended flow rate as per instructions.REMEMBER – the slower the water runs through the filter, more contaminants are removed.
  • Towards the end of the filter’s useful life, you may notice a diminishing water flow or you may notice the taste changing back to the taste of tap water. At this time you should remove your spent filter, wrap it with a newspaper and discard it with your trash.
  • DO NOT allow your filter to freeze.
  • It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
