Product Overview

General explanation

The Car Kit is delivered in two parts, the car kit and the headphone. For a Bluetooth connection you only need to connect the headphone with your Smartphone. You can put the headphone onto the car kit to use the loudspeaker, or you can put the headphone directly to you ear.

Charging (charge the device before first use)

Plug charging cable into Micro USB charging connector of the car kit and USB slot of PC or other USB slot of chargers to get charged. When the car kit is being charged, indicator light turns RED. Once it is fully charged, indicator light turns OFF automatically. Apply the same way to charge headphone. When the headphone is laid on car kit, plug charging cable into Micro USB charging connector of the car kit and USB slot of PC or other USB slot of chargers to get both car kit and headphone charged. Note: At the moment, although RED LED indicator of headphone is off, it still charges headphone. You can also charge the headphone separately! We recommend to fully charging the battery at least every 2–3 month, even if the device is not used.

Power on/off

Keep pressing power button until you hear a beep which indicates Bluetooth car kit and headphone are turned on, meanwhile, the LED blinks BLUE and RED alternatively. To turn off, press power button for 5 seconds until a beep will be heard.Bluetooth Mode Connect the hands free system with a Smartphone

  • For a successful Bluetooth connection between a mobile phone and the hands free system, first make sure that your Smartphone is Bluetooth capable.
  • (second step) If yes, you first have to activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone. Then switch ON the hands free system. The LED (2) will now start to flash BLUE and RED alternatively. Your device is now ready for connection.
  • Search with your mobile phone for Bluetooth enabled devices. Then choose the device with the name “BT-X30” from the list. (When a password is required then use the original password „0000“). Now the Bluetooth connection will start.
  • After a successful connection, the LED flashes BLUE every 3 seconds. The hands free system now is in Standby mode.
  • In case the Bluetooth connections fails, switch OFF the hands free system and try again from the second step.
  • After successful Bluetooth pairing and with inserted headphone, music playback from the Smartphone automatically runs via the loudspeaker of the car kit. The Smartphone automatically switches to the Mute mode.

Note -> Pair with a second cell phone. Under standby mode, press power button for 3 seconds, when BLUE and RED LED blink alternatively, it enters pairing mode again. Turn on Bluetooth of phone, search for BT-X30 and pair with the second phone. Then turn OFF the BT-X30, cell phones Bluetooth disconnect as well. Later, turn on BT-X30 again, it pair with two cell phones automatically.

Operate Bluetooth Hands-free

  • Under Bluetooth mode, if there is an incoming call, you can pick up headphone to answer privately or put headphone down and answer it by car kit. When the call ends, press the hands-free button (7).
  • Under standby mode, double click “hands-free” to redial the last outgoing phone call.
  • Under standby mode, single click at (7) Power on/off/Hands-free/Pairing button to play the last played track. Click once when playing the track will be paused.

Bluetooth distance

The Bluetooth connection has a distance of ~5m. Upon further distance the sound quality becomes poor and the Bluetooth connection is lost. Note: The sound quality is also dependent on the Bluetooth enabled device which is connected to the hands free system.

Warnings

  • If the Car Kit cannot be turned on after pressing the POWER key, or it turns off on turning on, user shall check whether it has power. If it’s out of power, get it charged and try again later.
  • Get car kit charged in DC 5V slot. It would make car kit fail to work or even destroy it if it is not charged in recommended DC 5V slot.
  • Charge the model once a week to lengthen battery life.
  • If Bluetooth device of Mobile Phone, PC etc fails to link to the speaker or if fails to playing music after being connected, the user shall check if he/she enters the correct PIN code or if Bluetooth device of his/her Mobile Phone, PC etc supports A2DP.

Warnings for use in a vehicleThe hands free system is not allowed to interfere secure driving . You as a driver are solely responsible for your traffic safety. Therefore, note the following safety instructions:

  • Fix the device securely in the vehicle that it cannot slip, e.g. when breaking or driving curvy roads.
  • Place the device in a way that there will be no risk for the road traffic if you use it.
  • Adjust the volume while driving in a level that outside noises remain audible. In case outside noises are inaudible while driving, it may cause a traffic accident.

Additional safety hints

  • This model is NOT water resistant; keep it away from water and humidity. Keep the device in dry and ventilated environment, avoid high temperature and direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the device, it may result in short-circuit or even damage.
  • Do not bump, shake, drop or disassemble the device, it may break internal circuit boards or mechanics.
  • Keep the surface of the device clean, but do not use organic solvents.
  • Keep the device away from little children.

Security and Disposal Hints for Batteries: Hold children off batteries. When a child swallowed a battery go to a doctors place or bring the child into a hospital promptly! Look for the right polarity (+) and (–) of batteries! Always change all batteries. Never use old and new batteries or batteries of different types together. Never short, open, deform or load up batteries! Risk of injury! Never throw batteries into fire! Risk of explosion!

Hints for Environment Protection: Packages materials are raw materials and can be recycled. Do not disposal old devices or batteries into the domestic waste. Cleaning: Protect the device from contamination and pollution (use a clean drapery). Avoid using rough, coarse-grained materials or solvents/aggressive cleaner. Wipe the cle aned device accurately.
